WHAT IS A JOURNEY?
Journeying is a way of exploring and moving through inner landscapes, allowing you to gain insight, shift energy, and reconnect with deeper parts of yourself. In my practice, journeying and hypnotherapy naturally complement each other. They are woven together, each supporting the other in meaningful ways. Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation in which you can access the subconscious layers where memories, symbols, and inner guidance reside. The difference between a hypnotherapy session and a journeying session lies in the technique to go into hypnosis and the additional energetic tools used to support a more fluid, experiential exploration.
In a traditional hypnotherapy session, you work toward a specific goal and we talk back and forth through the session. Rattles may be used at the beginning or end of the session if the client wishes. In a journeying session, we incorporate drums, rattles, pranic healing, and animal totems throughout the experience while you remain in a lighter state of hypnosis and allow your inner world to guide you. Both types of sessions include dialogue, hypnosis has more, unless a silent experience is requested.
The choice is yours and based on your personal preference. Whatever intention you set for your journey shapes the direction of your experience—energy always follows intention.
